All-in passes include dances and seminar. Otherwise, admission for each dance is $10, and admission for the seminar is $5 at the door. No advance ticket for dances or seminar is available. Top


Volunteers

Anyone willing to help out for an hour at the door or at registration, will receive one free workshop, or free admission to the Friday or Saturday night dance. Please e-mail Cathy Osinski
cosinski@twcny.rr.com if you'd like to help out, or if you need additional information. Shifts are still available for Friday starting at 7:00 pm., Saturday shifts starting at 10:00 am, and Sunday shifts starting at 11:00 am. Sign up soon so you can get your preferred time. Top

Instructors

Diane Nardone. For the fifth year in a row SSDS is bringing to Syracuse Diane Nardone, affectionately known as the "Queen Bee of Hustle". Diane K. Nardone has been dancing for over 25 years. She began dancing in Brooklyn, NY at the clubs with one of the first hustles, The American Hustle. Diane worked at Dale Dance Studios in Brooklyn teaching all ballroom, latin and country dances and became the staff dance trainer and lead dancer of the Hustle Kings. They performed at numerous hot spots including 2001 Odyssey, Penthouse, Roseland, Club 231 in Long Island. She was partnered with John Merisier whom she trained. John has since become one of the best male leaders in the United States. Diane has appeared on screen in movies such as "Carlitto's Way", "Cowboy Way" and "Summer of Sam". She is frequently invited to teach at dance weekends and has workshop weekends around the United States. Well known for her technique in lead and follow, Diane is expert at breaking down complicated patterns into easy steps. She has put together a format to make Hustle dancing easy and fun. Diane is a great admirer of Skippy Blair with whom she trained. Diane provides both group and private lessons in all dances at her studio in Washington Township, NJ. Robert Cordoba & Deborah Szekely. A powerful showman on the swing dance circuit, Robert Cordoba is an inventive; professional swing dancer and instructor. A five-time U.S. Open Swing Dance champion, Robert is a veteran dance competitor, first appearing on the swing dance circuit in 1990.

Deborah Szekely (Saykay) uses high energy and power to create a unique and forceful Swing Dance performance. As a Invitational and two-time US Open swing dance champion with technique and ability accumulated and refined over 25 years of teaching and performing Ballet, Jazz and Tap and now Swing.

Since they have come together Robert and Deborah have Received 2nd at the Open in 1998 for Classic and Won Showcase for 1999 and 2000, and have been the Grand nationals Champions for Classic and Showcase for 99, 2000 and 2001.They have clinched the NASDE circuit for 4 Years in a row 1998-2001. They have been Undefeated in Both Classic in 1999 and Showcase in 2000. Deborah Won the Champion of Champions Phoenix invitational for 2000 and Robert was also recently inducted to The California Dance Hall of Fame for the 2nd time. Please visit their web site for more.
